    Default Indian Courser

    Canon 30D with Canon 500mm f/8, ISO 200, 1/1000 shutters
Place: Greater Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, India.
These are dryland birds and very shy most times, but when there are abundant insects in the area, they
gradually become bold and allow you to approach them closely. Shot this from car.

Nice and sharp with good exposure. I like the complementary tones in bird and BG showing it's camouflage. Areas of poor definition on outline of breast and back suggest some cloning that could be refined. Similar area behind where leg joins body but may be soft plumage.

I like the light, with good detail and colours on the head. Lovely complimentary BG, and cloning marks mentioned.

Post-processing artefacts mentioned, but otherwise nice image. Being a dryland bird, the habitat looks perfect for it. With a name like "Courser" I imagine this is speedy little guy? (The spelling of "courser" can be loosely translated in French to mean "runner", or "racer")
