    Hmmm...first thing I notice is a slight rotation adjustment would be nice. The bird shows good exposure, details and sharpness considering the lighting situation. Have you considered a vertical crop?

    Hi Jeff,
    A good looking fellow indeed...I like the direct eye contact, you have good details. Agree on the CW rotation and a vertical crop would be another possibility to look into. As is, I would crop 1/4 from the right side of the frame and add the same to the left side to bring the subject close to the 1/3 rule. aside from this, good show...:cool:

    Look like you have a harsh light here, but you did very well with the exposure. Love the open beak, HA and a nice catch light in the eye. Desmond suggestion of vertical crop seem to work too. Another option is include more water to emphasis on the theme of isolation, a pelican in big vast ocean.

    Trying a different placement angle and it was early morning light. I was trying to show the vastness by using LRHS (out of the box stuff) but TJ and Desmond have made great suggestions. I might repost and see how they look, thanks.

    Jeff, I like the open beak and the direct eye contact, have to agree with the rotation suggestion.
