This is a comp that I was really excited about while I was shooting it. It even looked good on the camera LCD. Then I brought it home, put it up on the big screen and now I'm a bit underwhelmed.

The subject is a fallen tree. And I was using a horizontal pan techniques panning from the left of the "hole" in the trunk to the right. I think the problem may be that the blur is too subtle but I am not sure. Your thoughts?

Ed, Did you try to flip it vertically? I can't tell but would like to play w/ the rotation a bit to see if we could get a more interesting image out of it.

Yes, I did. Both ways. Vertical did nothing much for me. Feel free to play.

Nope! But thanks for trying, Denise.

It really has been quite a while since I came across something that I thought would make a great comp, previsualized what it would look like only to have it totally fall apart in camera. I posted just in case I might have been missing something but no, I don't think so. Obviously, the camera was not seeing the same thing I was seeing. A lesson learned.

Even the best of me still comes a cropper once in a while! :D:D:D That's a joke folks! Check my signature. ;)
