    300mm 2.8 VR,
    ISO2000, 1/1600, F5 , Ev +1

    Golden evening light.

    Seems like the lower mandible is broken.....

    Between the broken lower mandible and the rough primaries on both wings I'd say this individual has seen better days!! You had the right general idea comp-wise, but I'd prefer to see the tern a little bit more left, and a little lower. I also wish for a catchlight to bring the eye to life. Exposure seems fine and I like the two-tone BG.

    This guy really must have seen better days. I like the soft light, wing position and BG and agree regarding putting him a bit lower in the frame and lightening the eye.
