    Default Red Fox

After almost a whole day in a spotterscabine with almost nothing to photograph, on the way back home we suddenly saw a fox on the side of the road. From the car i had the chance to shoot 30 photo's before he ran away.

I love the look on his face; nice composition, details and color. You might want to smooth out the background (a bit of noise there) and maybe boost the contrast just a little but all in all, this is really very nice. Congrats!

    Hi Thijs
Wonderful capture. I was wondering about the spec's for the photo? Good to include them to get the best suggestions.
The composition is terrific. The color seemed a bit flat on my monitor. I tried adjusting the white and black points and sharpened the image just a tad more. My objective was to get a bit more punch. You might consider cropping a bit off the bottom.

I think this is terrific image overall. Very well done.

    Cheers
    Gail

Love the fine feather details, the way the subject look at something outside the frame (make me wants to know more about this image), the slight open mouth, composition, and the captured angle. The repost by Gail bring more life to this image, but I would tone down the grass a bit so the fox stand out a bit more.

Like Gail's repost, (sharp eye & texture in whites) maybe tone down the grass. Original image is nice, possibly crop some from bottom and a tad underexposed.

Exposure techs, not bad. Maybe more shutter if you can find it via, aperture, ISO or flash?

Nice nature picture, he was relaxed thanks for sharing.

loving the repost. maybe a little too sharp, but the eye looks great! was thinking that just a simple contrast boost would take care of the original. nice capture, thijs.

Very nice capture, Thijs. Like the pose and composition. Is it just me or is there a marked color change in Gail's repost? The red fox looks brown to me, not red like in the OP. Other than that, the repost looks pretty good though maybe slighty over sharpened.

Thanks for the comments guys! I took your advice for editing some more, and made this of it. I shift some with the levels and reduced some noise.
