Dynamite pose, good BG. Wish the eye was more visible, and I find the comp a bit centered. I also wish I could see this image bigger ;-)

Bigger would have been better. We are all spoiled :-)

This is one awesome-looking bird. The harsh overhead light was working against you....but I still like that you were able to get some underwing details. Killer froze pose.

Cool landing pose and BG and lightening the eye would be an option. A larger image would make it easier to comment more.

Hi Alroy: What a beautiful bird. It has some of my favorite colors. Great landing pose as well. Thanks for sharing.

Looks as if you did well in some tough light but we cannot tell because you posted it too small!

Hi Alroy! I agree, too small to make a call :)
About 750-1024 wide is a good size for BPN, with 750 high making viewing easy on portrait crops.

Agree with others, need to see it larger. It has good prospects however.

Ditto the nice comments above! Well done Alroy! Light a bit hard, but that's just a minor nit imo. Posture and BG is great!

Wonderful moment. Love the pose and wing position.
Only wish for better eye contact but considering the bird is landing...one could and should expect it to focus on the landing and not on the photographer's requests and wishes :)
