That's why there called a coalition.

Sometimes an image taken from the rear can say more than from any other angle.
Here we had been following this coalition of 3 males, with the alpha male (far right) closely hot on the heels of a female
he had been mating with for the last 6 days, his appetite had been sated enough for him to let his two brothers join him again.

I like this Marc - shows how they're geared up to defend their territory...

Hi Marc, I like how all three are looking out at different angles, with their behinds, seemingly joined together. Thanks for sharing the story.

    Marc,
This is a different perspective. I like the three converging at one point. I am tempted to reducing the colour temperature a bit. I edited to remove an extra link. The thumbnail is now fixed.

    Cheers,

Great capture. It suddenly reminded me of a joke about three old men who are hard of hearing. Hope you don't mind my leonine adaptation.

Hi Marc: Looks like the way that three little house kittens would rest together. Amazing that they snuggle up so close when I assume the temperature is pretty warm. Great behavior shot and I'm glad you showed it to us. Thanks.

    Marc,

It makes a change to get an "arse" shot of something interesting. Of more interest to me is that they look like pretty good quality males, not the mohicans that are so commonplace in Northern Botswana nowadays!

Lovely image Marc. Couldn't have arranged them better. Love the way they appear "joined" and also looking into the image. Nicely done.

An unconventional image without the eye contact but I like it. They're lined up perfectly for this angle. I like the sense that there seems to be a purpose to their alignment (whether there is or not, I do not know). Now, where's the shot where you ran around to the front :)?

Well, it's good to know he's working on providing similar photographic opportunities for the future ;).
