This gull was very busy bathing but stopped for minute to look up...it was just at sunrise, hence the high key effect. C&C encouraged and always appreciated. Looking at it now, I'm thinking I should crop a bit more from the bottom to eliminate the blue and pink blobs and I'm wondering if there is still a blue cast?

Hi Katie! This is very nice! I like the high key (and I usually don't). I also like the crop, if you wanted to do something about the blobs, you could clone or better yet, quick mask them out!

You mean those feathers on the front should be white? Then yes, some of them look cyan/blue to me and also confirmed in Photoshop.

Like the details and the look. Perhaps just crop a bit but I'm fine as is. Those blobs you can just clone it out if you wish.

    Hi Katie,
I like your composition, image and capture. The high-key background works quite well here...I like it as is...:) Your little guy has character...well done...keep them coming...

Hi Katie - love the high key effect - on my screen I am seeing some traces of orange in the BG.
like the pose - would clean up the blobs and some of the feathers do seem to have a bit of a blueish cast.

just a quick adjustment - desaturated the image - used the history brush to paint back in the colour areas.
Only rough but you get the idea.

Katie, I just love your high key images. This is no exception. I do like the repost with regard to the "blobs" and the blueish cast. I am not sure if I didn't like the slightly pinkish BG better though. Kind of interesting and different. Congrats!
