    Default Take off

This eagle landed in a stand of Bald Cypress near the University of Washington (Arboretum) It was on a morning after a very strong storm had come throught the area. Taken from a kayak. I removed a few twigs and blurred the bg a bit.

Good exposure and sharpness. Interesting background. Do wish there were not that many leaves and branches in the foreground.

Lovely pose & takeoff here Bonnie, the FG foliage is somewhat distracting however and as suggested could be cropped.

Bonnie I support the pano crop suggestion - as Harshad said just above your signature. I love the BG, bird sharpness and unique nature of this shot.

Hi Bonnie, I remember your other image of this guy. Love the intense stare, and wing posture, and the eagle is nice and sharp. The striking red surrounding foliage puts this over the top. I would just take a bit off the bottom.

Thanks everyone for your generous comments. Here is a repost with the suggested crop.
In retrospect--I wish I had the image that showed four photographers in kayaks at the base of this tree. It was pretty amazing--we all got the shot!
