I like the tonal layers in the BG. Nice view down onto the back showing lovely plumage details. Head turn and eye contact is great. There is a very granular look to the BG at the bottom of the frame that seems sharply demarcated.

Thanks Tony... I had extended some canvas on the bottom, and something wasn't right. I've reposted and believe the granular look along the bottom edge of the frame should be improved.

John this is very nice--Great details. Was it much of a crop?

Hi Bonnie... I cropped left & right and slightly from the top, and then added a small amount of canvas along the bottom.

Nice wing position, if detail holds apply a bit more sharpening to plumage. wish for more eye contact / better HA. Is that shadow in the eye or membrane that is half closed? Nice BG, thanks for sharing.

Sweet flight pose John. Love the wing position and BG. Only wish for better eye contact.
