I shot this while at my local pond taking reflection images. I added some saturation.

I really like this. When I was in Lake Placid I attempted a similar shot about 100 times and didn't get 1 leaf that I liked. Probably not for everyone, but in my opinion simple and very nice!

    Nice image and application Denise.

Only comment is that given the open area, this could be easily cropped to bring the leaf into the LLC 1/3 position. Other than that, nice image. But ...

    Your image ... your vision.

Mark, Fabs taught me that when you have a small object it is best to place it a corner position instead of the ROT. I think her advice is good in situations like this and I tend to agree w/ her. But thankyou for your thoughts. We all have our own opinions on composition.

Denise, I really like the image and the placement of the leaf but IMHO I think I'd like it better if about 1/3 of the
top was cropped to make it into a pano.:)

All I can Denise is that, if I wasn't saving money for the Nik Suite, and a Lensbaby and a 1D IV  GULP!!, I would pay for this photo. Seriously, I think it is absolutely wonderful.

Denise: I think the water is fantastic, and the leaf perfect. I think the background sort of overwhelms the subject. Just to see what it would look like, I tried a different crop. Better or worse? regards~Bill
