    Heron sunset.
Godikwe Lagoon- Okavango Delta, Botswana. Sept 09
Wondering if it needs more canvas above the sun?

lovely compo and great placement of sun and heron
I think toning down BG bit and smoothening will help to improve this a lot

Marc, wonderful setting, and I like the comp. The silhouette of the heron looks good, and adding a slight bit of canvas at the top will work. Well captured.

Simple things in life are always charming this is one such example, great shot over all.

Beautiful shot. I realize that composition are mainly dictate by personal taste, in my opinion a version with a little more room at the top and a portrait crop could work also.

Hi Marc: This shot makes me feel good as sunset silhouettes can do. If the sun were a little less bright and the heron was more black I would love it even more. Thanks.

I like the concept. I too would prefer a bit more room at top, and less at left. I'm wondering what caused all those arched rings in the sky to show as I've never noticed this in an image before?
