    The light before the sunset was great, BG with dark clouds. This enhances the power of the snow goose

    Nikon D300, 200-4000 TC 1,4 at 490mm, ISO 500, f5,6 1/2000, tripod

    I have cropped some portion on the right.

    Nice exposure, details and composition. I see some noise in the background.

    Patrice:

    Very nice light, wing position, head angle. Sid mentioned the noise. I would add back in just a sliver on the right, a bit too tight for my tastes. Water drops on the belly nice.

    PS: looked at it again, and might try pulling the left hand slider in on levels a bit. I tried it and felt it gave a bit more bite to the image while retaining the sense of nice light.

    Agree about the noise, and space, but reallu like the pose and the light here, you've got very interesting
    color on the bird.
