    Not sure which is worse, the junk in the water or the tree reflections.....

    Not a big fan of the Chinese painting initials either. Sorry: gotta be honest.

    This can actually be a great learning experience: Isit possible to have sharp, perfectly exposed image of a beautiful bird in a great pose and yet fail to make a good photograph?

    I'm not very fond of the "perch" and its large blunt ending, nor the very "cyan" water colour. The egret looks great though - lots of nice details.

    I couldn't agree more! Except for the initials:(. Just thought the body position capture was interesting enough to share.

    Dan, Very nice underwing details and great landing pose. I agree the BG isn't great and hurts the image.

    Dan - If you wanted to get creative you could probably remove the log completely remove with mostly solid color, and crop a little tighter. Just an idea.
