Default Theme - Abstract - Return to Another Time

This image may bring back memories, of a past time, for fellow viewers of that era. I thought it was fitting for the theme and the image. The original image was shot at Lion Country Safari a few years ago.

Modification was simple by my normal standards. ;) I duplicated the original and used Bas Relief for each image. The colors were created in the Bas Relief process from each of the primary colors in the subject. Finally, Photomerge did the rest and I just added the border/frame.

    Enjoy!

Mark, This has an Andy Warhol look to it. I like the different color sections and the effect you created w/ the filters.Nicely done.

    interesting compilation Mark......difficult color choices?
I notice the 2 orange frames each side of center....a chosen design element?

You should do more of these, as I find it quite appealing

Dave, I think I lost a little of the lighter color in the transition. The "reddish orange" is from the body color and the "lighter orange" is from the bill area. They are different on the original and while slight I thought they might work here. As noted, the tones used for each frame are from the birds colors. Sorry it didn't come through as well as hoped. But thanks for viewing.

This does bring back old times. Nicely done. Interesting to read about the color choices. I didn't pick up on the idea that you used the bird's colors when I first looked.

Yes, some of us can remember when this type of image was "new" to the art world ... unfortunately. ;)

I thought it would be interesting with the colors from the bird and it seemed to have satisfied the gallery.
