    This image was captured in Early spring just before the cypress trees in the bg get there dark geen colour.
    I like the mood captured but would value your thoughts.

    i echo harshad about the canvas. a perfect landing pose and a fantastic capture. bang on exposure and superb sharpness. the blue of the bg makes this more interesting and give boost to image

    Beautiful underwing detail & sharp overall. Like the feathers standing up on the head. It's an attention grabber- different from most grey heron images. Great capture. Betsie.

    Hi Dave, super landing posture, and you nailed the detail and sharpness. Im glad you left a hint of his proposed landing spot, and I too, like the colours in the BG. NTS.

    Dave, I actually like the tight crop-it draws your eye to the perch. Nice landing pose,details and exposure. Gorgeous BG.

    One of the best Grey Heron shot's I've seen Dave. Normally like space, but this works perfectly. Pretty well nailed. WD!

    Oh man Dave this is killer awesome!! Dig those ripples formed in the primarys from the stall. Wowzer! The overall tone of the shot might be a tad too light--maybe not-- sort of looks that way here though. Superb character shot too.
