    Not much of an ID, but that is the best I could come up with. Taken yesterday at Point Roberts, Wa. 50D, 70/200mm f4 at 127 with a 38mm ET, 1/180, ISO400 and HH. I used refine edge for the first time and used 4 pixels feathering and wonder if it shows.

    I like the use of dof with the focal point being on the stamens. The colors are also very nice with a good boken on the background.

    Dave, I like the flower itself but the stem and leaves are a bit OOF for me - I feel like the flower is floating out in the frame with nothing to anchor it. I believe stopping down a bit more and getting some of that greenery into the focal range would strengthen the composition of the image. Either that or I'd crop in close and lose everything but the flower.
