    Default Bald Eagle

Photographed in the winter of 2008 but only recently processed. The BG is some snow-covered mountains.

Doug, love the wing position and the fact that you can clearly see his head even though its in front of his wing. Probably better that way as the BG matches his head too closely? Love his concentrated stare but wished his tail was more visible. Congrats

Fantastic Doug. I have done hundreds of eagle and know how hard it is to get a good exposure that has dark detail without blowing the whites.

Great HA, eye contact. The head against the wing avoids having it blend with the snow background.

I also like the wing position. Undersides are nearly always too dark but your light angle worked well for the far wing.

Super flight image. Love the intinsity and pose captured.
I find the BG a bit too bright for my taste.

Hi Doug, great flight angle, and just love the show of the extended near wing. The head stands out nicely against the far underwing, and overall, good exposure. Well captured.

Beautiful capture Doug... I really like the head offset against the wing with the snow covered foothills in the background... great stuff!

    Fantastic moment Doug!

Love the eye and wings, I also am a bit puzzled about you using a tripod?
