Not the sharpest image of a caracara, faily large crop.

JC, I like the placement of the bird in the frame. Im amazed that even with your EC, you didnt capture more detail from the underwing. There again, is it a third, or one and a third. Running one selective pass of sharpening on the head will work. Still, well captured.

Juan, I'm not seeing much detail either under the wings. Maybe try lightening under the wings. The head and eye do not appear sharp. I like the crop.

I agree with Stuart with the underwing details - I wish they weren't as dark. I'd also fill-in the small "hole" in the wing. We don't see images of these guys in flight too often.

Not to bad for a heavy crop. I agree with the lack of detail underneath but I'm sure anymore compensation would have blown the highlights on his head.

Well, I went back to PS and created a new version of my former image.

I selectively worked on the BG, lightened a little, may be was not a good idea. I used, selectively, the shadow/highlight tool and came out with this. I sharpened the face a bit too, total time in PS, 3 minutes.

Please let me know your thoughts since I'm learning, your advise will be greatly appreciated.

Juan, re post looks much better. It brought out some detail and didn't introduce too much noise. Head also looks better with the added sharpness. Congrats
