    Default Fall House Finch

House Finch captured amongst the fall Japanese Maple leaves in my backyard today. There is a lot of junk in this image but I like it! Cropped a little and PP'ed in ACR and CS3, BG NR with Noise Ninja, sharpened with Nik. I did a little bit of cloning to obscure some bright areas in the BG, hope I didn't do too much. C&C Welcome.

Hi Dan! I like this one, especially the red colors in the finch and the bg. Nice pose and perch. I might be tempted to take a little off the right side, but I like it as presented. Nice one!

    Hi Dan,
This is absolutely beautiful...I wish it was mine...:D The head angle and direct eye contact are spot on. I like the fine feather details, and the colors of the habitat rock...well done my friend...looking forward to your next one...

    Dan,

Did you think the 1.5 was too much, maybe -1 better? Anyway, I am on work monitor and cannot make a solid judgement (assume histogram tells the story). Overall the picture looks great. Love the fall colors and border around subject. I really like this one, pose is great, eye is sharp and great catchlight - well done.

I think everything about the image is great except for the distracting oranges masses to the right of the bird. Might want to consider cropping some off the right side and get rid of the blubs and increase the bird's dominance in the image --- sort of kill two birds with one crop --- oh no, I'm sure that's the wrong analogy to use on bpn. (Smile)
    Lovely image
    Cheers

Really like this image. The bird is sharp with good details, colors, HA, pose and eye contact. You have the bird in a beautiful environment too. Just only wish the the OOF leaf on the right wasn't there, i don't mind about the OOF ones on the top.

Hi Dan - colours, POse, HA , Sharpness are all spot on - BG I think works well as similar in colour to the bird, which still stands out well.
    I like it.
    Big congrats :)

Dan, I love the complimentary colors in the composition. I agree with the OOF leaf on the right but otherwise wonderful ... as usual!!
