Very nice study of the bird with everything in focus and reasonably sharp. The bg is a bit noisy (biggish crop?) but could easily be cleaned up. I like it :)

Interesting wing position. I like the composition, and exposure looks good on my screen. Noise is noted.

Thanks, all. Not a heavy crop, actually. Why would a plain sky have so much noise, when I only sharpened the bird? I will say the original file (before compression) had less noise.... maybe I injured my camera the day before after falling over backwards on the mud flats and dipping it in the mud :)

Are there any NR threads here that would translate in PS Elements 7?

Ed: Others will probably know better than I, but I use PS Elements 7 and find that Topaz DeNoise works well as a plug-in for NR.

I like the forward wing position, with good detail captured. Have you tried another round of NR?

I like the angle, eye contact and sharpness. I only wish the far wing and bill would not merge and maybe a slightly lower color temperature? You could use 'despeckle' on the BG, that should do the trick.

I like the Comp, light, wing / tail position, eye contact and the eye level angle.
Would like to see finer details on the head. agree about the noise.
