Taken at Katmai NP a couple of years ago on Kodak E100VS film with a Canon EOS3 camera and a Canon 100-400mm lens. Settings not recorded.
This guy was a terrible fisherman. The large bears were away resting so he was very nervous. I even saw a salmon smack him in the face.

Cute pose. He looks pretty unsure of himself.

Did you do some sort of processing on the snout & fish? It has an odd glow / hazy look.

Very nice image. The framing may be just a bit tight for me. I think some local contrast enhancement may give it a bit more smap..

Glad he got one !!!!! Agree on being tight on frame In this setting would want to show off the surroundings Does have a strange look from the scan The Color balance is not a bad as I thought Downloaded the image and is very close !!! Excellent pose for the bear and catch !!!!

Do realize that if you go out more........you will catch one of 18 bears near it.

I also agree about being tight in the frame. Your timming on the image was right on. This bear looks so proud of it's catch.

Great action! I agree about adding a little more contrast.
