    Default "Three Sisters"

    “Three Sisters”

    Note:
The base image was enhanced by adding an oil sandstone canvas finish to bring out the details and contrast.

These lovely ladies were painted with a Nikon D3, using a Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens.

    Image Solution:
focal length @ 55mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / 1/250 sec. - f/16 / exposure comp @ -0.3EV / ISO @ 400 / white balance @ custom profile using an Expo disc for color balance / AF - Mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution – a 24” soft box positioned from the top and two speedlights were placed at 45 degree angles the left and right sides, set to ¼ lumen burst on manual mode with corresponding diffuser screens. / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform - monopod assist and remote electronic trigger release.

    Comments greatly appreciated...

compostion, subject and light = fantastic!!! there is a black spot on the left frame edge and a yellow spot on the right frame edge that look like weeds. i like the way you masked out the flowers from the texture!!

Hi Doctor you are right, I missed that black dash on the left side, which was part of a double line boarder that I originally did, but decided to take it out, and well...like you said...I missed a spot...:D:cool:

The stems & vase acts as leading lines - original and grabs the eye. Tilt of the image is killer, you have upped your game master!

nice color.....would be better tilted to the right.
The stems would then be leaning on the bottle opening
