    taken last august on the beach at boynton inlet. i keep finding these things in old files. didnt even know i had. dull, overcast afternoon light. tried to make something of it.

    D50, 70-300 at 190mm, f/8, 1/800s, +1.7EV, ISO 400

    thanks for looking. comments and critiques much appreciated.

    Hi Doctor,
    I like the direct eye contact, ultra low capture angle, and pose inquisitive look...might just want to boost the contrast just a tad...looking good...keep them coming...:D:cool:

    Like it Harold - set a black point - sharpened a tad and sharpened the eye. (Bit less sharpening to the body of the bird - I was being lazy)
    Just minor tweaks - Good Ha and eye contact - like the inclusion of the habitat - great feel.

    Wonderful HA and pose, Harold, and nice repost...I don't think I've ever seen one of these, those are some long tail feathers.

    Harold - Like the composition, HA, exposure. When I first looked at the image, I felt like I wanted more punch and that seems to be what Lance's repost does.

    Fine looking youngster Harold !!! Just a little more midtone contrast, repost looks good !!! Peculiar looking light !! ... sure like that strong eye contact !!!
