Denise, you really do get some great shorebird photographs! I love that drop of water hanging off the end of his bill - perfect timing! Lovely water and BG as well.

Sharpness and EXP are good. This winter adult looks as if it needs a bit of CW rotation. The sidelight is a bit of a problem. The biggest problem is that the bird's head is turned slightly away. And it looks as if you added another eye highlight.... You need to use a harder tiny, tiny clone stamp move the clone stamp as you copy white from somewhere....

Artie, Here is my repost. Hope it's better. I left the catchlight alone(as shot) and did not add one to the reflection. I also tried to rotate it using the eyes. (my first time trying that)

Manos and Julie, Thankyou both for your comments. I appreciate them.

I like the clarity of this image. Also like the little wake trailing him.

I always like seeing these reflection shots of various waders, and enjoy viewing this one... I like your repost and the eye as shown, etc. Nice work Denise.

Lovely detail Denise, and nice and sharp. Apart from the CW rotation which you sorted perfectly, I would have left the catchlights as is.

Love the reflection Denise. Agree with Artie's suggestions, and I do prefer the repost.

The repost clearly shows that problems created by a combination of poor head angle and poor light angle are pretty much insurmountable.

I cannot know what is best for you. It is surely not up to the standards of your best shorebirds. If it were mine, it would meet the fate of the delete key
