I guess the title should have been Assignment: Reflections, not theme. Can't edit the title...sorry...

that water is AWESOME!!! with a little more work, this one would shine. first, i'd work on the eye. get rid of the large catchlight. and after that, just work on the specular highlights on the bill and feathers. another round of sharpening might be called for too. i cant get over the water!! would have made for some nice abstracts by itself!!

    Hi Nick,
I like the capture and image...I fixed the title line for you. The quality of the water as far as the tones and hues are super. Very good advice give by our resident Doctor Davis, I might add that if you have more room in the back of your subject to include the rings in the water, also for your next one, try to get a lower capture angle, this is a little on the steep side...very nice...looking forward to your next one...

Hi Nick - Mr H and Gus have it covered, love the water. With lovely water like that try some shots with a slower shutter speed especially if you have a tripod, can get some nice results.

Hi Nick, I like more the repost. Pretty colors in the water and good reflection, only (if possible) a little bit of space behind to the duck.

    Good looking water Nick !!!

Biggest suggestion for me is more room behind the duck, real tight !!! .. wish the water had the same look all the way up !!! Mighty fine image !!!

Agree with Al, nice picture Nick - well done. Love the fall colors and mallards are my favorite.
