    Default Skimmer Blur II

On Sunday a group of Black Skimmers was moving up and down the Cape May beach. I tried with limited success to catch them sharply in flight, and just before calling it a day I decided to try several intentional blur shots. Yesterday I posted a very abstract one (which I liked) on the OOTB forum. Here is the other. This is almost full-width, cropped to pano. Adjusted levels to increase blacks a bit. Otherwise SOC. C&C appreciated.

Love it Bill. Works for me on just the composition level as well as the artsy interpretation.

Love the idea Bill !!! Sure would like having those birds moving toward you, although is a blur all applies !!! Particularly how you filled the frame !!! Excellent image !!!

    Hi Bill,
I like this as presented, a very nice blur, and the combination of blues and whites...well done...

Cool, very original composition, I like it. The pano is great.

Thank you all for the positive reinforcement. Intentional blur was something new for me (I've had plenty that weren't deliberate!), and I think I lucked out with the SS selection. I'll definitely try some more.

Very creative, very good choice with the pano crop. I like how this is a blur yet I can still make out what kind of bird this is. Just wish the right is a little less crowded.
