    Default Great Kiskadee

A few weeks ago I took a trip to Mexico. I wasn't really supposed to bring my camera as it was a "family" vacation. I did sneak my Mk 111 and a 100-400 into my suitcase and got up early a couple of mornings to look around. There was a small bog besdie the hotel property where I saw Great Kiskadees for the first time. This bird has a LOT of personality and is very vocal.

BTW, Jennifer found me at the bog and shook her head but understood:cool:

Nice and sharp and bird stands out nicely against the dark BG. Very nice perch. I would try and recover a bit of detail in the whites. Essential to sneak gear along on a family holiday!

The dark background makes the bird pop. Love this shot, David.

Beautiful image David, the dark background really compliments the birds colouring and I love the raised left leg ... great looking bird.
