Last December in the Davis Mountains of Texas. We were photographing these guys perched nearby & this one decided to hover right in front of me in very different light. No time to change anything - just point & fire. I got one shot off, and was delighted to see that the head was pretty sharp considering the circumstances.

Welcome to BPN, Russ! Nice first post. I like the blurred wings and head in focus. I would try to make it a bit brighter by adjusting the midtones. You can post images up to 1024 pixels wide and 200kB. Larger images are easier to comment on. Keep them coming!

P.S.: I don't know why the software didn't create a thumbnail. I copied your image and put it on the BPN server.

Very cool image, excellent pose, HA, especially considering it is a flight image.
