    Going through some old files that I hadnt even processed. This was taken in Cape Town Dec last year. This guy was pretty close, but I was in a hide. Im not too keen on the varied BG, but hey, we cant always choose it. The HA could have been slightly more towards me.

    Sharpness, light and pose look good. I agree with your self-critique.

    Hi Stuart..

    Exposure looks good as does sharpness. I'd also agree with the issues you noted.

    Had you softly spoken to the bird, might it have looked toward you?

    Hi Stuart, Your image is sharp and well exposed. I agree a better HA would have been nice-but I think the intense look shows behavior well and I'm not bothered by it. I'm not fond of the BG either,but as you said-
