    Oh me likey! I really like the way the transition from light to dark matches the shape of the bird. I'd be tempted to crop about half the distance between the bird and top of frame, but I know that would move the eye further from the ROT power spot. Still, I like em tight.

    Nice eye contact. I might try a vertical crop and make the BG look more uniform.

    Lovely shot Richard. The gray of the perch seems to go really well with the colour of the bird. I would agree with Axel that a vertical crop could work well here.
