Uh, hah, that is nice. Great light, inquisitive pose, I love the contrast in color between
the bird and gentle blue BG. Nicely done.
I only wish the bird had cleaner bill. Very nice overall.

And yes, the ID is perfect :)

Angle, light and eye contact look very good. The dark tail feathers look a bit noisy, I might sharpen those a bit less.

Hi Denise, sweet light, which in turn has brought out lovely warm colours. I like the leaning/feeding pose, and stands out very well against the pastel colours of the BG. Great image.

    Great sandpiper image capture Denise.

The light is great on the bird but I'm wondering if perhaps the background shouldn't be a bit warmer? It looks like a bit of an unatural difference between the warmth of the subject and the coolness of the BG on my end.

Thanks Stuart and Jim. I appreciate the comments.
Jim, I guess the blue is from the water color and the top part has a bit of pink from the sky. I did tone down the warmth a bit before posting. I'll look into it.

Great shot Denise! I am envious! Love the low angle. Are you using waders or are you just getting wet?

Denise, You did a great job waiting for this one to get close. Nice details and sharpness. BG is terrific. I agree the water is getting cold.
