Was supposed to go down east a few weeks ago, to a pheasant preserve, but lots of guys were sick. So we postponed it for later in season. I was lucky enough to see this pheasant about 20 minutes north west of here. Obviously, this is an escapee (no wild birds that I know of in our area)..he let me get close. Thanks for looking.

Nice find and curious look. I might crop a bit off the top and tone down the whites.

Paul, I like the rich colors in the pheasant and I think you were lucky to happen upon it. I might tone down the whites a bit. The image has a nice autumnal feel to it.

    Thanks for comments and advice

I've cropped a bit from the top, tried to tone down the whites....did you mean just the whites on the neck or overall?
Is there a good tutorial somewhere on toning down the whites?...I never seem to get it right.

    Thanks Paul

The repost looks better, the blacks are a bit blocked and the whites on the neck could go a bit darker for my taste.
