It was a rather dim and a very slow morning. This is the best image I was able to get. It is cropped 50% (should have had my extender mounted) and tweaked a bit.

Hi Wendell - Good looking bird.

Have you used any NR on this - seems to be a lack of fine detail - very smooth looking.
Angle of light is a bit of a problem - seems to be a couple of dust bunnies present on the RHS.

    Like the pose and HA.
    Keep them coming :)

    Hi Wendell,
I like the diagonal perch and pose. Agree with Mr. Peters on his fine comments. Looking forward to your next one Sir.

Hi Lance: Yes I used NR, in Lightroom, but on the entire image, not selectively, perhaps accounting for the overall smoothness. I believe you have pointed out this kind of error previously; I'll try to remember. Frankly, I have to leave Lightroom to "select", and I like to avoid that step if possible. But I should take that step . . .

Hi Wendell NR wise I've had some trouble with using it in LR, not very happy. Have gotten better results with PS plugins !!!

Image wise would try getting in sun angle for even lighting !!!

    Hi Alfred:

I have suspected that NR in Lightroom is not as good as it should be for maximum effectiveness. Thanks for the confirmation!!! I use PS Elements, and do not have PS, so if you have a suggestion for an NR addon for that program please let me know.

Unfortunately, in this instance I could not get into any better position relative to the sun's angle.

Your criticisms are always helpful and always looked forward to . . .
