    I like the angle, look-back pose and eye contact. I might remove one of the catchlights and the whites look a bit greenish on my monitor. Could you have moved a bit to your right for a BG without vertical stalks?

    BG vertical stalks are distracting, could use some USM on the bird IMO.
    But always nice to see a Malachite, beautiful color.

    Sweet looking Kingfisher, love the colors and wet look.
    I find the BG a bit distracting.
