    Love the light and the open beak really adds to this and I like the water ripples around him. I'd get rid of the bright dot (water drop ?) as it looks a bit distracting, and crop almost half up from the bottom as i don't feel the reflection is strong enough for all that empty space imho. You got to love fall colors! Congrats

    Lovely light and colours, and you have exposed this very well. I agree taking off the bottom will work. Are those rings on the legs?

    Thanks, Stuart! No, the 'rings' are the reflection of the sky. I know that the reflection is far from perfect but I liked this crop better than putting the bird lower in the frame.

    Axel, I like the water colors and the pose. I may have preferred it lower in frame also. Nice ring and I like the water drop.

    Very nice capture!! I go with Brian I think the water-drop close to the watersurface draws to much attention. And I wonder how the pictures looks just a little bit darker (in particular breast and belly of the bird).
    But either way a very lovely picture!

    Axel, this is really nice.
    The open bill and water drop put the image over the top for me.
