Like this Marc. The head angle is good as is the calling pose. OK, light is harsh but handled well and there are good details and colors in the dark and light feathers. Nicely done.

Thanks David, it was taken at 16.44 and all the birds were coming in from all directions, I was spoilt for choice.

I agree the calling pose and HA look good. Not so keen on the steep angle, and the perch does have a cookie-cutter look to it near the LLC - perhaps a bit of refinement in that area would be needed.

I like the pose, open bill and sharpness and agree on a lower angle if backing up was an option. Did you apply S/H? The BG next to the whites looks darker than the rest.

Great job on the exposure, you controlled the whites really well with the light. Nice head angle and the colors on this bird are nice. I'd prefer this as a horizontal with more room to the right and less on top. Congrats

Good sharp detail and colours Marc, and I like the HA and open beak. This I do know - the pinkish colours on the wing are breeding colours. Cheers.

    Thanks Daniel
This shows how sometimes things are deceiving, I had not touched any part of the LLC and is as is, this branch does appear to have been cut away.
