    Default POTUS

Went to an event on Miami Beach today. Potus was going to speak, so you know I had to take my camera....:D

I can tell you that digital is the best invention for photo journalists. It's not easy to photograph a speaking subject. You will get pics with eyes closed or weird mouth gestures, so you literally have to shoot a lot of images to get some decent ones. Out of about 300 images, I deleted about 180 of them due to closed eyes and bizarre mouth and facial gestures which were captured during that millisecond.

This image is a great one. The hand gesture and intense eyes along with the facial expression are just super.

Nice portrait, should try to sell this to the White House :D I wonder if these guys develop any eye issues with so many flashes and strobes.

I attended a few Presidential speeches with my camera and it is wild when all the press photographers and flashes start to go off; especially with digital; all you hear are shutters clicking away like machine gun fire....

What's the story behind the name ''Potus''?
Very good timing after reading about the closed eyes and bizarre mouth and facial gestures.

    Hi Juan,
I think this is an abbreviation of President Of The United States
but please don't ask me the meaning of Alfreds "Flotus"

    Best regards
    Tassilo

BTW: a very impressive portrait !
