Hi Kyle I think it is Queen Anne's Lace (aka wild carrot). Might have gone for more DOF as you had a lot of shutter speed. Sometimes when I shoot macro you can bring a little reflector and if you have your camera on a tripod you can hold it and bounce the light on your subject to help open up the shadows a bit. You can get tiny ones (13 ') and they fold up to a really small size.
Hi Kyle - agree with Jackie's fine critique and good advise - the limited DOF is a little distracting - Just my personal tastes though. Great advise on the reflector also.
Keep em coming.
Hi Kyle,
I like the two tone background and your subject centered in frame, I also agree on stopping down a bit more to get a sharper image and more depth of field...looking forward to more...
Hi Kyle Neat image I like it !!! Agree with suggestions and can add that I would like to see the image made from a higher point in order to move the flower down from the transition area. Love those colors !!!
Agree with all the advice, more DOF would be nice and great idea about the reflector. Personally I like the lines in the background, they add sense of motion to this image for me.
Thanks Everyone. Jackie good Idea about bringing a Reflector I will have to get one. I tried to focus on the head of the flower but it was windy so not sure if that's why it is not all is focus. Still learning things. Thanks again :)
