Nice and sharp, Lance, but would prefer to see it with the background green stuff removed.
I loved your Delicate Arch shot from Utah. I've been there myself, but it sure looks great in winter.

Nice green at green Lance. Detail in feathers excellent and eye contact good. Beak front half looks soft but I will find my glasses and re-check (65 now). I still need one of these for my arsenal of images! :)

Very nice portrait, Lance. Wish the plants were not there and a bit more of a head turn.
You are doing good with CS3 :)

Lovely image Lance with great detail and lighting. What I really like is the intense stare that you so often see with the green herons. Beautiful work !!

As you can tell by now, we prefer the image without the oof bg green. This heron is superb. But the bg is taking away, imo. I had to dump a whole bunch of greenies due to the bg as well when recently in the glades. The stare on this one is real beaut.

In spite of the distracting foliage you have captured some exquisite feather detail.

Very nice image. The use of shadow/highlight is obvious and I think it would be a better image if that wasn't the case.
