    Default South Carolina Spoonbills

This Fall Huntington Beach State Park has been the home of a group(different counts of #4 to #11) of first year Roseate Spoonbills and at times feeding close to the road in both fresh water and salt water. The salt marsh grass(Spartina) has a nice yellow color this time of year accentuated by late light.

Nice BKGR and wing position. Mucho BKGR noise. Colors somewhat muddy....

Hi Charles, The wing position is very nice. I also like the background. If it were mine I might try and lighten the dark part of the background that is behind the bird's feet as the feet blend into the background a little too much for my taste. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice flight shot. I might be tempted to move the bird more off centre.

Sorry Art I understand the background noise comment ,but confused by the muddy color comment.

Excellent colors, perfect flight position, nice BG, the IQ is not there however, looks like too much sharepening has created noise ans digital artifacts.

I have seen the term IQ used before ,but not really familiar with it. It took me only a month to learn what HA was so help me out (I hope its not intelligence quotient )

As to muddy; hard to define. My "muddy" colors are likely related to the image quality problem here. I guess the best way to try and explain muddy is to say that the colors are not as pure, bright, and clean as one would expect. Muddiness can result from over-processing especially when an image has been lightened considerably after originally being underexposed. Final answer.
