    Default Ant with MP-E65

    Model = Canon EOS-1D Mark II N
    Exposure Time = 1/200"
    F Number = F8
    Exposure Program = Manual
    ISO Speed Ratings = 100
    Metering Mode = Spot
Flash = Flash fired, compulsory flash mode
    Focal Length = 65mm
    Color Space = sRGB
    Exposure Mode = Manual exposure
    Handheld
    Image made at 5x magnification

Borrowed a friends MP-E to give it a try. I didn't like how soft it was at F16. I had to shoot around F8 for acceptable sharpness.

Nice textures here Jody. How did you get this ant to stay still for the shot? Corpse?

    Hi
A smashing shot with the focus upon the money - I kind of wonder if you could have stopped down just a little more, but then with this magnification ratio you are always struggling for DOF. But at the end of the day a pretty superb image, and a great job of placing that focus point
    All the best

    Hi Jody,

Your extreme macro shots allways amaze me!
How do you get these ants to stay still for a shot like this...??

    Love everything about it!

    Thank you for posting!

    Greetings,

    Jeroen Stel
