I took an in-camera water flow of a small fall area and did some pp tweaks. I liked the soft painterly feel to this.
I went to Child's State Park in PA. w/ fellow moderator Roman K., Ben Venezzio -(Ben it was nice to see you again ) Nick Palmieri-(Nick it was a pleasure to finally meet you.) Roman gave me some great tips for shooting the falls and we had alot of fun.

sweet image Denise. The shutter speed seems perfect for this type image.
Would like to see a bit more colorful life.

Just for play, would you try something?
    New blank layer,
    blend mode overlay,
simple gradient white to orange with white on left and orange to right.
    Blend opacity to about 45-50%
I tried it and it's a valid ootb option even if not fully faithful to original scene

But I do like the original very much and looking forward to more from the outing

Dave, I like the slight crop and the golden yellow on the left side. What did you do differently?

not sure....I may have run the gradient at a slight angle, but I did only run
edge to edge of the frame. It's been a fun play and maybe others will get some ootb ideas.

I like the color in the water on repost...fall is a grand time isn't it...I tried my hand at taking water photos and low shutter speeds but still no image I like...

    Hey Denise,
For my 5000th post I just want to say......I had a blast today too!...even shooting the "girlie things".....oh man.....I was going to post one too!.....guess I have to wait. I had the same difficulties you did.....deciding how much to boost the colors and such.....so both your OP and Dave's re-post look great. Thanks for sharing your view and enthusiasm and hope I helped you a bit in the process!

For the record....if Nick chimes in.....I still think rainbows in mixed light are a bad idea!

I love all of them - the original and the reposts. As Dave mentioned, the shutter speed was perfect. The original looks like a river of gold - would work great for an illustration in a book about the Gold Rush. The reposts look like rivers of fire to me. Awesome.

Hey Denise, I like the re-post. That was fun yesterday...I guess I am forced to post the "mixed light rainbow"...I will see what it looks like.

Beautiful image Denise. What was your SS and did you use a polarizer (or ND)? Actually like your repost, those colours pop! Nice feel to the water too.
