    Upper Texas Coast

    D2X, 600, ISO 400, f6.3, 1/640, -0.7 EV, Fill flash @ -1.3 EV.

    Here's an oldie that I set up a few years back.
    Placing a ripe mulberry branch over a drip pond allowed the birds to stop and feed before bathing.
    When I said "you're busted", this was the look he gave me :-)

    Great background, perfect exposure, sharpness and pose. Completely enjoy the trailing OOF lead out of the image on the left. It works wonderfully here as the perch / subject aren't perpendicular to the camera.

    This, while being a setup, looks perfectly natural to me and the subjects expression is perfect for your comment to it :)

    I still think the D2X has provided the best colors of any Nikon body I've ever used.

    Fantastic! I love this image.
    If anything, I would probably leave less room on the left and add some top and right.
