Loverly bird, BKGR, and SH. I like that you have separation between the bird's bill and its breast. You might try a bit darker with the blacks and the mid-tones.

The repost looks much better, particularly adjusted midtones and more room. I would only desaturate the reds a few points.

Your re-do improved the image significantly. Far from minding, I appreciate the lesson. Will re-work with other pointers; darkening blacks and mid-tones/desat reds, etc. Thanks all
