Taken back in the spring in a day with James on the boat. It was raining Spoonbills :)
Captured hand held from the boat, I don't get down in the water much. No flash was used, so I lit it with Nik Color Efex's Reflector, soft gold. The bird is in breeding colors, green face and orange tail.

The spoonbill's around here are not that colorful, they are pure white.
I like the colors, the light that comes through the wing, Comp, position, spread tail,
exposure, sharpness and eye contact. a lovely flight shot.

I like almost everything about this one Fabs and especially the light coming from above through the wings.

Only think I may have done differntly was to position the subject a bit higher in the frame and give it just a bit more room on the right.
