hey guys, sorry it's been a while since i posted here. work has been brutal. hopefully finally getting caught up. went back through some old files and found one that i never worked. this one is from last year at Lover's Key SP. the catchlight was added in PS by using the clone stamp method at 14% opacity. i didnt like the dodging method here.

    D300, 50-500 at 420mm, f/11, 1/1250s, 0EV, ISO 500, flash fill at +3.0EV.

thanks for looking. comments and critiques much appreciated.

Hey Harold - welcome back :)

Cute little guy :) IMHO - not much I would change here - not crazy about the OOF leaf on the RHS and could the chick use a tad more sharpening???

    Great HA and eye contact.
    Good show!!

    H Doctor,
I like the pano crop...its a sweet image, would selective sharpen the eye just a tad more...

    ... about time !!! :)

Love the little guy, might prefer having more on the left, no leaf and more of a pano !!! Big Congrats !!!

Hey Dr. D.! Good to see you back. I've had similar work challenges lately, so I totally understand.

Love this little guy, not much to add. Really cute!

You have been missed H. Most adorable little chick! I love the soft light and HA . It has such a sweet look on it's face. I would ditch the OOF leaf as suggested and the pano is a nice touch.

Very well done on the fill flash. I, unlike the rest of the gang, would crop some off the left :D
