Assignment: Reflections - “River of Grass”

This is a rendition of the Florida Everglades at sunset, right after a heavy thunder storm going toward Naples Fl. On the south side of state road US 41. The landscape was painted with a Nikon D300s using a Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lens.

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 20mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / ISO @ 640 /1/60 sec - f/11 / exposure comp @ +0.3EV / white balance @ auto / AF Mode @ AF–S /color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / lighting solution – ambient light / support platform – monopod assist.

    Comments greatly appreciated…

    Hi Gus,
Great picture, huge amount of detail it will look far better at 20 x 30 than it could here.
The clouds seems blown out here and there did you consider using HDR get still more detail?
    Take care,
    Clive

the clouds are a little over. i think a GND filter would have helped. maybe you can still do a little burning or try multiplying the highlights. the clouds are nice and have some nice layering. i might crop a little off the bottom. i like the light. very warm tones!!

Agree on the suggestion of a grad ND filter, would have helped out the sky !!! Did get lots of detail below and love the reflection !!!
