    I don't know if this is out of the box enough. Image had mostly black background, that I made completely black. No plugins, etc. Thought I might mention that the bird was landing, flying in front of the dark opening of a culvert, and the sky was overcast.

    Fantastic image! I love how the black beak and legs still show up beautifully even with the black background. The lighting looks great.

    Bill, I think the crop alone is OOTB! Very unconventional and I like the black BG. Really nice landing pose and lighting.Maybe just a hair more room upfront.Well done.

    I appreciate the kind words! Interesting comment about the oriental feel Cheryl. Now that you mention it, it does remind me of their black lacquer stuff. I bet a red border would have made it even more so. regards~Bill
