While driving through Yellowstone its a must to be attentive, animals will shot up at any time any place. Pleasant surprise to find this nice looking specimen crossing the road.

there must be speed limit I guess, here in India we have speed limit of 20km/hr for the roads which passes through NP's

Harshad the speed limit in most of the park is 45 mph (72.4 Km/hr) The Park is huge, guessing over 100 miles from one side to the other so they need the higher speed !!
You are right Alfred! Gail and I spent one night (around 8-9 PM) driving back to Lake Lodge from Grand Teton in the Fall 3 years ago! Not only are the Elk possibly in the road, but everyonce in a while i would see a dark shadow in the distance to learn in a few seconds a large bison had decided to park himself in the middle of the road, standing right on the mid line. This happened about 3 times. Sure kept us awake!!!
In Yosemite the speed limit was 30 mph. Most people did not heed the speed, and the park had red markers clearly placed by the side of the road where animals had been hit. It didn't seem to slow people down though.
Now that is one important Bull taking the short cut. Cool caprture Alfred !!!!
